Language Stars Satellites offer one or two days per week of programs at a child-friendly location. The Hyde Park Satellite is located at Augustana Lutheran Church at 5500 South Woodlawn, on the southwest corner of 55th and Woodlawn. Parking lot available for 10 minute drop-off and pick-up only. Unmetered street parking available on all neighboring streets.
The Language Stars Hyde Park satellite center offers Spanish language classes for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school children. While French, Italian, Mandarin and German programs are not currently offered at our Hyde Park satellite center, we have begun a waitlist. Please call 866-55-STARS for details. French, Italian, Mandarin and German programs are currently available at our nearby locations in Lincoln Park and Hinsdale, IL.

We welcome mid-season enrollments and we prorate your tuition to reflect only the remaining number of weeks in the season.

Directions to the Center:
The Chicago- Hyde Park Satellite Center is located at Augustana Lutheran Church at 5500 South Woodlawn, on the southwest corner of 55th and Woodlawn. Parking lot available for 10 minute drop-off and pick-up only. Unmetered street parking available on all neighboring streets.
From US-41:
From US-41, exit the East 47th Street exit. Turn left onto S Woodlawn Ave. After about 1 mile, Augustana Lutheran will be at the corner of Woodlawn and 55th Street. Please use the side entrance located in the parking lot. Parking lot available for 10 minute drop-off and pick-up only. Unmetered street parking available on all neighboring streets.
From the South via I-90:
Take I-90 to the 73rd Street Exit. Turn left onto 73rd street and right onto S Cottage Grove Ave. After about 2 miles, turn right onto 55th Street. Augustana Church will be on the right after about a half mile.
From the South via I-94:
Take I-94 West to exit 59C toward 71st Street to exit 59B on the left toward I-90 E/Skyway/State St. Keep right at the fork continuing toward W Marquette Road. Turn right onto W Marquette Road/67th Street. After 1 mile, turn left at S Woodlawn Ave. After 1.5 miles, Augustana Church will be on the left.
By Public Transportation:
Hyde Park Satellite Center is reachable by various means of public transportation.
Bus Lines: 55, 171, and 172 at 55th Street and
Woodlawn Ave.
Metra Line: Electric Line 55th – 56th – 57th Street Station (a half mile walk to Augustana Church)
